I recently purchased this Coleman Cable 049278806 12-Outlet Home Theater Surge Protector.While the box states that there is a $200,000 connected equipment warranty protection, there is no warranty or literature of any kind in the box.
When I called Amazon, they said that this was probably a packing mistake and they sent me a replacement. Well, the replacement came exactly the same way: The surge protector is in the box without any literature. Pretty surprising. You would think there ought to be SOME literature in the box, no?
So I decided to try to see if they had product literature or warranty info on the company website.... but again, there's nothing. So I am left wondering that if someone needed to use the warranty, how would that work? No literature and no way to find any warranty info on the web.
So while the product SEEMS fine, I have found no way to know if there is actual protection.
That's the disappointing part. But the protector itself and layout of the outlets is fine.
Wish we had a better answer...
UPDATE:I recently got a response from someone at the company whom I had emailed at coleman-cable.com
They sent me back an email reply with an attachment that contained the warranty and contact information. So, for me anyway, the situation is resolved. Unfortunately, if you buy this you may not have the info you need in the box, but you can track them down and get an email reply if you contact them...
