750J 6 Out/british Plug 230V Review

I bought this surge protector to take with me to France for use with my laptop. It worked great (with a UK to FR plug adapter). I wanted a surge protector with a ground connection and one that I can reuse for my future overseas trips. This one can handle a voltage of 230V so it'll work in all countries. Of course, you'll have to buy the necessary plug adapter if the country you're in doesn't use the UK plugs. You'll get the best protection if you buy the plug adapters with ground connections (they're harder to find, but they exist!). That way you can be sure that your appliances are grounded regardless of which grounding standards are being used in the country you're in. This surge protector provides a protection of 750 joules which is higher than recommended. It also has universal outlets which means you can plug in appliances with any type of plug (except for the south african plug, I think).

Overall, a very useful buy.
